Hello, my name is Kenneth Kelley, and I am a recent graduate of Lewis-Clark State College with a Bachelor of Social Work. Throughout my academic career, I have been passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others. My interest in social work began when my family began pastoring in the small town of Northport, Washington. Since then, I have been dedicated to learning about the various ways in which social work can be used to promote social justice, equality, and human rights.

During my time at Lewis-Clark State College, I excelled in my coursework. I interned at the Asotin County Courthouse under the Juvenile Justice Program and engaged with the Court Advocate Program often. I also interned at the Nez Perce Tribe Social Services Department under Indian Child Welfare and Child Protection. I gained hands-on experience working with diverse populations and communities. I also had the opportunity to participate in court settings, and home visits.

As I move forward in my career, I am excited to continue my work in social justice and advocacy, particularly in the areas of  therapy with individuals and families. My long-term goal is to grow my knowledge, awareness, and humbleness towards diverse populations and use that to create policy change at local, state, and maybe federal levels. I am confident that the skills and knowledge I have gained throughout my academic and professional experiences will allow me to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those I serve.
